Coach Troy in SPOKES Magazine

Enjoy this interview with Coach Troy by Mid-Atlantic regional cycling magazine, SPOKES Magazine.

A Visit With Spinervals Guru Coach Troy
By Neil Sandler

"Baltimore native Troy Jacobson is largely credited with creating the business of cycling videos. His popular series of training videos, called Spinervals, is used by cyclists at all levels of the sport worldwide. Troy, a well respected triathlete in his own right, is returning to the sport after a lull in which he and his wife had two daughters, as if any busy parent could call parenting a lull."

Q: We hear that you are partnering up with the Columbia Triathlon Association this coming year. Can you provide some details?

A: The Columbia Triathlon Association and those races that make up their race series including Eagleman 70.3 and the Columbia Triathlon hold a special place in my heart. I 'cut my teeth' on those races as a teenager and amateur back in the later 1980's and credit them with getting me in to the sport of triathlon and showing me the path to what has become my passion, lifestyle and career. Now, at a time in my life when I have the financial means and ability to 'give back' to events and support the growth of endurance sports participation overall, I try to do what I can. It's a great feeling and I'll continue doing so as long as possible.
